Description: The SERV program was developed in 2006. The program developed from the concerns of a Cleveland State University instructor and several Peer Support Veterans from the Vietnam era. Along with the help of Cleveland State University and the Department of Veterans Affairs veterans the group developed an educational model of supportive education and everyday problems. The Veterans Research Group (the 501 (c) (3) group developed the SERV act. This act allowed the Universities and Colleges to form veteran friendly SERV models all over the nation.
