with Duane Blau
Class Description: Shoulder preservation is essential to quality of life. Learn methods and best practices to make sure you keep pushing forward.

Tuesday, April 16th, 2024: “Another UTI: Where Do They Come From, How to Treat Them, and How to Avoid Them”
with Dr. Matthias Linke
Class Description: Urinary tract infections(UTI) affect every individual with a spinal cord injury and cause significant impact on quality of life and social participation. Some individuals keep getting UTIs. This course we will discuss how to correctly diagnose, treat, and prevent UTIs.

Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024: “Neurogenic Bladder: A “Refresher”
with Amy Dannels McClure, RN, ND
Class Description:
This session will give the attendee(s) an opportunity to look back at how the bladder functions and how a disruption in the neurological system impacts the ability of the bladder to work effectively. There will be an opportunity to explore bladder management options and discuss the realities of the reimbursement landscape of catheters.

Tuesday, April 30th, 2024: “Creating Healthy Relationships and Boundaries After an Injury”
with Eric Kenning, LMSW
Class Description:
In this class, we will discuss topics such as how to recognize stepping back into old relationship roles, creating boundaries between caregiver roles and intimate relationships, and adjusting from victim to survivor.

All classes will be held from 6-7 PM via Zoom Call
